Summary
Accounting Policy Manager will serve as a key resource for assisting Director of Accounting Policy with technical accounting issues, including interpretation and application of accounting principles and standards. The role will involve reviewing complex transactions, assisting with developing accounting policies, and providing guidance to internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Review purchase price allocation models, legal agreements and due diligence materials for business combinations.
- Assist in providing accounting guidance during deal structuring.
- Research technical accounting topics on key subjects like business combinations, revenue recognition, lease accounting, compensation, etc. under US GAAP and IFRS.
- Assist with developing and maintaining company’s accounting policies to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Partner with controllers to assist with the end-to-end implementation of accounting policies and best practices.
- Liase with outside auditors on accounting topics and the adoption of new standards.
- Assist with ensuring compliance to all aspects of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) for relevant processes.
- Proactively monitor, review, research and interpret GAAP and analyze emerging accounting pronouncements for policy/ financial statement implications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) in Accounting and at least 5+ years of work experience within big four professional accounting firms and financial services industry.
- CPA license.
- Public accounting experience preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Positive sense of ownership of assigned tasks/ projects and ability to independently research and analyze accounting issues.
- Project management experience with the ability to multitask.

The base salary range for this position is $135,000 - $155,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
