Our client is an innovative, digital-focused company transforming the way customers think about and use financial products. With a customer-first approach, the product team is looking to add an Associate Director, Product Manager (Collections) to their team.
Location: This role is hybrid. The candidate should be located within a commutable distance to one of the offices in NYC, Baltimore, MD, Charlotte, NC, Wilmington, DE, or Irving, TX.
Associate Director, Product Manager (Collections) Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Strategic and Operations partners in Collections to identify opportunities within team member and digital experiences.
- Support internal employee experiences and digital customer-facing initiatives by uncovering motivations, providing solutions, and removing friction to enhance product usability.
- Develop and execute the Collections Roadmap in close partnership with technology teams.
- Analyze data and analytics to identify new opportunities and drive strategic thinking.
- Partner with Operations to shift costly interactions towards digital self-service solutions.
- Work closely with cross-functional leaders in Engineering, Design, Operations, and Collections Strategy to ensure alignment and prioritization of initiatives.
- Utilize data to inform all aspects of the product development process, from strategic direction to solution validation through experimentation.
- Communicate status updates, strategic risks, key dependencies, and progress against objectives to team members and senior leadership.
- Act as a critical voice for the team, clarifying strategy and amplifying their work.
Associate Director, Product Manager (Collections) Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience working on successful digital consumer products, preferably at high-scale companies.
- Experience in Collections Operations/Product is a plus.
- Agile experience is required.
- Ability to think like a customer, considering both employee journeys and digital customer experiences.
- Proven success in launching or managing new products, features, or experiences with attention to execution details.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and providing solutions.
- Strong leadership presence that enhances cross-functional team performance.
- Experience in creating and aligning product vision and strategy across teams and the broader organization.
- Comfort in debating points with peers and influencing leadership decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to motivate team members and advocate for ideas.
- Ability to simplify complexity, understand decision implications, and balance customer needs with business goals.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to carry solutions through to completion.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to see the larger picture and objectives.
- Extensive hands-on experience in the digital product development process, including road mapping, problem definition, requirements documentation, development, testing, and deployment.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for product domain.
- Positive outlook and flexible mindset in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
- Passion for developing product managers and advancing the craft of product management.
