Buyer
Position Overview
The Buyer is responsible for managing procurement processes to ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services at optimal costs. This role involves collaborating with various departments to understand their needs and negotiating with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all purchase orders (POs) are updated to the lowest allowable revision.
Release, reschedule, and cancel POs as per the instructions provided by buyers.
Following up with suppliers regarding overdue POs.
Conducting supplier training.
Handling troubleshooting and reconciling tasks related to invoices, receiving issues with vendors, and finance matters under the supervision of the buyer.
Organize cleanup of old open/unsubmitted PO's and Purchase Requisitions
Cross collaboration working with supply chain
Engaged with customers and working to problem solve
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel) including Pivot Tables and VLookups
- Strong data management and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience with databases and procurement software.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
