CPG Design Director

Position Overview
Our client is seeking a highly skilled CPG Design Director to join their team for a short-term project starting in early January. This position requires an individual with strong design and packaging expertise to create and oversee the design of a Floor Cleaner product. Thie role will be for about two weeks and around 30-40 hours each week. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design strategy for packaging and branding initiatives across multiple product lines.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop cohesive brand guidelines and ensure consistency in design execution.
• Oversee the creative process from concept development to final design execution, ensuring that all designs align with brand objectives.
• Manage and mentor a team of designers, providing guidance and feedback to foster professional growth and creativity.
• Stay current with industry trends and consumer preferences to inform design decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
• Present design concepts to stakeholders, articulating creative rationale and aligning with business goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in CPG design, with a strong emphasis on packaging design.
• Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Demonstrated portfolio showcasing successful CPG design projects and innovative packaging solutions.
• Strong understanding of brand guidelines and the ability to develop and enforce them across various touchpoints.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey ideas effectively to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
