Marketing Specialist - expected 5 month contractLocation: Remote
Role Overview
The Marketing Specialist will provide strategic marketing consultation and guidance to various clients. The Specialist will partner with the Marketing Manager and/or Director to build marketing plans, as well as drive, implement, monitor, and measure results of marketing activities. This role involves the strategic evaluation and tactical execution of marketing activities, including advertising, collateral development, digital marketing, content creation/assessment, and event management/sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic marketing consultation and guidance.
- Partner with leadership to build, implement, and monitor marketing plans.
- Execute marketing activities such as advertising, digital marketing, and content creation.
- Manage projects through the entire project life cycle.
- Assess competitive landscapes and provide recommendations.
- Build and improve relationships with colleagues, leaders, and experts.
- Represent the organization professionally both internally and externally.
Education: A bachelor's degree in a related field, which may include liberal arts, business, marketing, healthcare, or a similar field.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a relevant field.
Skills: Broad-based knowledge of marketing strategies. The role requires leadership, problem-solving, critical thinking, active listening, and quantitative skills. Persuasive oral and written communication skills, project management abilities, and presentation skills are necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven execution ability, including digital marketing experience.
- Experience with marketing automation, data analysis, and surfacing trends.
- Ability to work effectively in a consensus-style and collaborative environment.
- Comfort working independently in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Flexibility for occasional travel, and to work weekends and evenings as necessary.
