Graphic Designer
Position Overview
We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating visually stunning designs that effectively communicate our brand message across various platforms. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative design solutions for both digital and print media. This is a 12-month, 40 hours per week contract role.
Key Responsibilities
- Create 2D + 3D renderings for product packaging Mechanicals
- Laying out artwork
- Ensure packaging designs adhere to industry standards, regulations, and guidelines.
- Pack up files to send to suppliers
- Understand printing deco treatments, pantones, foil, etc
- Conceptual design for secondary packaging
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and manufacturing, to understand packaging requirements and project goals
- Conduct design research and stay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovative packaging designs.
- Anticipates potential roadblocks and develops proactive solutions
- Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure the successful execution of packaging designs.
- Maintain a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all packaging designs meet quality standards and are error-free.
- Be aware of accurate project timelines and deliver designs within specified deadlines.
- Adapt to changing project requirements and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Stay current on industry trends. Follow brand guidelines. Illustrate a brand pattern for use across all mediums.
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in Graphic and Packaging Design
- Proven experience as a Packaging Designer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your creative packaging designs.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Rhino
- Strong understanding of packaging design principles, materials, and production processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present and explain design concepts to manager.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong eye for aesthetics.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and also independently.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
