 Social Media Coordinator

Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive Social Media Coordinator to support our marketing team in executing and optimizing social media strategies across multiple platforms. The contractor will create and schedule content, manage paid campaigns, engage with communities, monitor performance, and provide actionable insights to improve reach, engagement, and conversion. 

This role will help grow and engage audiences across the portfolio on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X and Pinterest. The ideal candidate is a hyper-organized, creative individual with a passion for social media, pop culture and the worlds of food, home and lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and publish timely, on-brand content across platforms including X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Plan, build and optimize paid social campaigns (Facebook/Instagram Ads, X/Twitter Ads, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok Ads) to meet traffic, lead generation, and engagement goals.
  • Manage community engagement: respond to comments and messages, moderate conversations, and escalate issues as needed to protect brand reputation.
  • Build content calendars and schedule posts using social management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, Later, or similar).
  • Design and deliver creative assets in collaboration with designers or independently using Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, and basic video editing tools (Premiere, Final Cut, iMovie).
  • Implement and maintain tracking and measurement: set up Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google Tag Manager, UTM tracking, and integrate with analytics platforms.
  • Monitor social listening, brand sentiment, and competitor activity; summarize findings and recommend adjustments to strategy.
  • Perform A/B testing on creative, copy, and targeting; iterate campaigns based on performance and deliver clear optimization recommendations.
  • Prepare regular performance reports using Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Google Data Studio, and Excel; translate data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Support influencer outreach and partnerships: identify, contact, and coordinate with creators and partners to amplify campaigns.
  • Coordinate live streaming events and technical setup using OBS or StreamYard, and provide on-the-fly support during broadcasts.
  • Assist with basic CMS tasks (WordPress), HTML/CSS fixes, and coordination of email marketing campaigns (Mailchimp) when needed.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in social media marketing, community management, or paid social campaign management (agency or in-house).
  • Proven experience creating content and managing organic and paid campaigns across X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Strong copywriting skills with an ability to craft concise, engaging social copy and calls-to-action.
  • Practical knowledge of social advertising platforms and best practices: Facebook Ads Manager, X/Twitter Ads, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok Ads.
  • Experience with analytics and reporting: Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Google Data Studio, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with social listening tools and social management platforms such as Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, or Later.
  • Comfortable creating visual assets and basic video edits using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Premiere/Final Cut/iMovie.
  • Understanding of SEO basics, hashtag strategy, A/B testing, campaign management, and conversion optimization.
  • Experience with influencer outreach, campaign coordination, and partnership tracking.
  • Portfolio or examples of past social campaigns, content, and performance metrics preferred.
