Primary Purpose
The Copywriter will create compelling, strategic copy across digital, social, and retail media channels to engage audiences and support business objectives. This role is key in translating strategies into impactful messaging that drives sales and enhances the customer experience. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Copywriter will manage creative projects from concept to execution, develop content briefs, and oversee project management as needed.
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC , Chicago, IL, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME, and Hyattsville, MD.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Create retail media content (product descriptions, in-store displays, promotional materials) that drives sales and enhances the shopper experience.
- Develop clear, persuasive copy for digital platforms (websites, email campaigns, online ads, SEO content) aligned with business goals.
- Write engaging social media copy that boosts user engagement, brand awareness, and aligns with the overall strategy.
- Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to develop campaign concepts that resonate with target audiences.
- Serve as a marketing specialist, guiding content strategy, audience targeting, messaging tactics, and marketing objectives.
- Develop content briefs and ensure projects are aligned with strategy and creatively sound.
- Manage content projects from start to finish, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth execution of initiatives.
- Maintain project documentation, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure accountability.
- Ensure consistent voice and style across all content platforms and alignment with brand guidelines.
- Evolve the brand's messaging to remain competitive and relevant.
- Use data and analytics to refine messaging and improve engagement and sales.
- Collaborate with designers to ensure copy integrates seamlessly into broader marketing efforts.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to contribute creative ideas for innovative campaigns.
- Work with external partners to align messaging with company standards.
- Regularly assess and adjust copy performance using data insights.
- Stay updated on industry trends and seek out new opportunities to innovate content strategies.
- Address copywriting challenges with creative, strategic solutions.
- Develop and maintain a library of high-performing content for future use.
- Report on key metrics, offering insights and recommendations for future content.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of copywriting experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Proven experience creating copy for digital, social, and retail media channels
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong background in content strategy and messaging
- Experience with project management tools (Workfront or similar)
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail
- Creative and strategic problem-solving skills
