We have an amazing opportunity for a Senior Product Development Manager. You will create and implement a plan leading the development of new products, platforms, and packaging for their business unit. This individual will leverage consumer insights, market data, and trends to identify and prioritize opportunities to grow the 7-Eleven Private Brands business.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
* Translate organizational goals into actionable strategies for Electronics, HABA, and non-food categories.
* Build a robust innovation pipeline using market trends, consumer insights, and performance data.
Team Leadership
* Mentor and develop a team of buyers and product developers, fostering an environment of collaboration and growth.
* Drive accountability through clear objectives, performance reviews, and developmental feedback.
Product Development
* Spearhead new product launches, ensuring alignment with private brand standards.
* Collaborate with external suppliers to optimize sourcing efficiency and drive cost savings.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Partner with marketing, operations, and category management to integrate private brand strategies seamlessly.
* Align pricing, promotions, and assortment planning to elevate brand presence and market share.
Financial Ownership
* Manage P&L for designated categories, leveraging data-driven decisions to ensure profitability
* Develop and monitor budgets for product sourcing and marketing initiatives.
Performance Metrics & Reporting
* Regularly analyze category metrics and present insights to senior leadership.
* Drive improvements in velocity, market share, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
* 7+ years of experience in retail buying, product development, or category management, ideally within private brands.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multi-category portfolios and achieve aggressive business goals.
Required Skills:
* Proficiency in financial modeling and category performance tools.
* Expertise in negotiation, supplier relations, and consumer trend analysis.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication.
* Deep understanding of retail dynamics for Electronics, HABA, and non-food products.
