Our museum client is looking for an experienced Senior Social Media Manager to join their team on a 12-month contract. This position is 40 hours a week and is remote. You must work EST business hours.
Duties of the Senior Social Media Manager:
- Oversee moderation processes and vendors
- Monitor and respond to social media interactions, including off-hours, weekends, and holidays when needed
- Enforce and update community standards
- Develop and manage dashboards to track sentiment, trends, and engagement
- Provide regular insights and reports to inform strategy
- Translate insights into actionable content and marketing strategies
- Work with Social Media Specialists and cross-office teams
- Participate in rapid response efforts for real-time monitoring
- Recommend and implement tools (e.g., AI, SmartInbox) to enhance moderation
- Advise on platform updates, audience behavior, and AI tools
Requirements of the Senior Social Media Manager:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, etc
- A minimum of 8 years in marketing, social media, community management and social listening
- Proficiency in major platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X) and tools like Sprout Social
- Experience with AI tools for moderation is a plus
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Experience managing sensitive or high-stakes online communities
- Citizenship is Required
