The summer intern will assist with various tasks, including job shadowing social media managers, helping to document projects by written and photographic means, supporting events organization and participating in creative brainstorming and marketing strategy discussions. The intern would gain visibility into an in-house marketing function, create real-world content and contribute to meaningful projects that enhance the employee experience. The ideal person in this role is naturally curious, accountable, comfortable with a variety of environments and doesn't take themselves too seriously.

Assist with helping to develop social media content, blogging and contributing to internal and external content creation.
Attend jobsite visits and help document progress with project profiles, interviews and photography
Help organize employee-focused events (volunteering, summer picnic/BBQ etc.)
Assist with documenting own experience as a part of a day-in-the-life report for social and internal news channels
Support the team with administrative and organizational tasks as needed
Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions

ABOUT YOU

Written/Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Big thinker, problem solver.
Tech Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Suite of products (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint is a plus). Has been exposed to (or is familiar with) Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator. Understands and is familiar with website content management systems. If not familiar with listed programs, should be willing to learn and grasp tech concepts and systems.
Temperament: Comfortable in a variety of environments: with foremen on a jobsite, support teams in the office and everything in between. Has positive attitude, good sense of humor and is eager to learn.
Work style: Can work independently and as part of a team. Meets deadlines and is accountable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSAny combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required.
