Job Summary

The Senior Analyst of Marketing Sciences will be a key member of the team, responsible for Comcast Cable's efforts to develop an analytically driven marketing, media, and message mix optimization strategy, and drive improvement of marketing effectiveness and efficiency. This position requires exceptional knowledge of marketing mix modeling techniques with advanced analytical skills, as well as a deep understanding behind strategy, planning and execution of traditional and emerging media opportunities. They will serve as a day to day lead responsible for ensuring analysis and activation of marketing mix modeling results are accurate and actionable, and will be a key collaborator between marketing leadership and the MMM Vendor team.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Play a key role on the media team by assisting in the development of modeling and optimization science approach to help address marketing challenges and improve media effectiveness and efficiency
  • Assist in advancing the evolution of marketing mix models to support ongoing needs for the business, partnering with cross-functional teams across the organization
  • Collaborate with agencies to transform media mix results into insights that help the organization understand historical performance, as well as future expectations
  • Work closely with corporate, division, and vendor leadership teams to understand media and marketing strategy, and understand the impact it will have on business performance
  • Collect and analyze valuable data and context across the organization to inform modeling results, insights, and future forecasts and optimizations
  • Utilize marketing mix model to help inform and align division and corporate media strategies/planning by providing forecasts, analysis and direction on marketing mix effectiveness
  • Works with partner agencies to develop effective 'test and learn' framework to maximize learnings and insights across all channels and tactics.
  • Translate and clearly communicate sophisticated, action-oriented, insightful, and analytical information to be socialized to varying audiences

Qualifications:

  • 3 -6+ years of business/marketing experience using advanced analytics to drive business/marketing results in, ideally, multiple information-dense, consumer-facing industries (e.g., consumer packaged goods, retail, financial services, telecommunications). Experience in marketing mix modeling or multi touch attribution is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and apply data-driven analytic approaches to solve critical business questions in a practical manner with tangible results
  • Knowledge and experience in planning and execution of both traditional and digital media
  • Strong academic qualifications, with degree or experience in a quantitative discipline (typically statistics, mathematics, econometrics, business with quantitative specialty such as operations research)
  • Excellent diagnostic skills to analyze and identify discrepancies within large data sources and effectively troubleshoot
  • Creative thinker and communicator with the ability to break down and connect disparate data sources into a straightforward, insightful story
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines, excellent project management and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and a team player with the ability to adapt to the situation, be flexible and nimble in terms of work planning, and the ability to think quickly on your feet.
